Ribbon closure box

It passes through two die-cut slots in the base walls and is glued under the wrap on the inside floor, so the ends are anchored and only the loop is free. On a lidded box the ribbon runs under the base and over the lid. It cannot be pulled out without tearing the box, and it stays centered on the lid every time.

Untied. We thread the ribbon and leave the ends loose so the bow is not crushed in the carton. Tying fifty bows takes about twenty minutes at your bench and it is how the bow ends up looking crisp on the day. If you need them tied, tell us and they are packed lid up in single layers.

The board and paper wrap are recyclable as mixed paper. The ribbon is polyester satin or grosgrain and is not, so it should be cut off first. If full recyclability matters, we can supply a cotton ribbon or a paper raffia tie, both of which go in the same stream as the box.

Yes. A one-color logo or a line of text can be printed along a 1 in satin or grosgrain ribbon in repeat. Printed ribbon adds about 5 business days to the schedule because it is custom made, so tell us at the quote stage. Plain stocked ribbon in about forty colors adds nothing.

Five-eighths of an inch suits boxes under about 8 inches and gives a neat, small bow. One inch suits boxes from 8 to 16 inches and reads as more generous. Anything wider than 1 1/2 in gets hard to tie neatly by hand at volume. The slot width is cut to match, so decide before the dieline is final.
