Delivery and lead times
Most products ship 10 to 14 business days after you approve the proof. Labels and stickers run 5 to 7 business days, and floor displays and advent calendars take up to 18. Each product page states its own lead time. We ship to the United States and Canada; ground transit inside the US adds one to five business days, and Canadian transit is confirmed on your quote.
How the clock runs
Lead time counts from proof approval, not from your first email. The quote and dieline usually come back within one business day of a complete brief, and your digital proof within one business day of your artwork. Production starts the business day after you approve the proof in writing. Transit comes after that.
Lead times by product type
| Product type | Production after proof |
|---|---|
| Labels and stickers | 5 to 7 business days; shrink sleeves 8 to 10 |
| Printed inserts, tags, tissue and sleeves | 5 to 14 business days, depending on the item |
| Pouches, bags and food packaging | 8 to 14 business days for most styles |
| Mailer boxes | 10 to 14 business days |
| Folding cartons | 8 to 14 business days for most styles |
| Rigid boxes | 12 to 14 business days for most; cigar and game boxes 14 to 16; advent calendars 16 to 18 |
| Floor displays | 14 to 18 business days |
The product page is the number to plan on. If a date is fixed, such as a launch or a trade show, put it in your brief and we will tell you straight away whether it works.
Prototypes
A physical prototype is available on request, and its timing is confirmed in the quote. It comes before production, so it adds to the schedule. It is worth it for a fitted insert or a new size, and rarely for a reorder.
Shipping
We ship to the United States and Canada. Ground transit reaches neighboring states in one to two business days and the far side of the country in four to five. Freight to your zip code is its own line on the quote, so send the zip code with your brief. Flat items ship in bundles, and rigid boxes ship assembled in shipping cartons. For tracking details or a large order, ask the team at info@triapackaging.com.
Reorders
Reorders carry the same minimum as the first run; the saving is time, since the artwork and dieline are already approved. A reorder of the same box goes through a quick confirmation instead of a new dieline and proof round, then runs in the same production lead time as the first order, as stated on the product page. One-time tooling, such as a cutting die or a foil die, is kept on file and not charged again.
Questions people ask
When does the lead time start?
The business day after you approve the digital proof in writing. It does not start when you send artwork or the brief, because neither tells us the job is final. If you approve on a Friday afternoon, day one is the following Monday.
Can an order be rushed?
Ask before you approve the proof. On a plain mailer or carton without lamination or foil, a faster slot is sometimes possible if the production schedule allows, and we confirm it in writing before you approve. Rigid boxes and anything with a prototype cannot be rushed. Labels and stickers already run in 5 to 7 business days.
Do you ship to Canada?
Yes. We ship to the United States and Canada. Transit time and freight to a Canadian address are confirmed on your quote.
How are orders packed?
Flat items, such as folding cartons, mailers and pouches, ship flat in bundles. Rigid boxes ship assembled, packed in shipping cartons, so they take more space. If the order goes to a fulfillment house with receiving rules, include them in your brief.
Is a reorder faster?
Reorders carry the same minimum as the first run; the saving is time, since the artwork and dieline are already approved. A reorder skips the dieline and proof rounds, then runs in the same production lead time as the first order.
