Leave room for the compliance panel
There is no single federal CBD packaging standard. Labeling rules sit across FDA, FTC and the states, and they keep moving, so the CBD packaging compliance guide is where we keep the detail. What it means for the pack is simple: reserve a panel for the warnings, the batch number and a QR code to the certificate of analysis before the art is drawn, not after. Our CBD, tincture and hemp boxes are laid out with that panel space, and the pre-roll tube keeps the warning panel clear.
Child resistance is tested on the finished package with a panel of children and adults under the CPSC protocol in 16 CFR 1700. Our child resistant mylar bag uses a zipper tested to that protocol, and the test documentation is available on request. A carton around a bottle is not child resistant on its own; that comes from the cap.
For smell, the barrier is the film. The smell proof mylar bag is built on a foil laminate that blocks odor, oxygen and moisture while sealed. How an order works
- Send a brief. Product size, quantity and where the packaging goes. The quote and a dieline drawn to your size usually come back within one business day of a complete brief.
- Feel the materials. The Swatch Book of boards, wraps and finishes is free, so you choose a stock with it in your hand.
- Artwork. Drop your art onto the dieline, or use our free design help if you do not have files yet.
- Approve the proof. The complimentary digital proof usually follows within one business day of the artwork. Printed proofs and physical prototypes are available on request. Nothing is produced until you approve.
- Production. Lead time is counted from proof approval: labels 5 to 7 business days, most boxes, bags and pouches 10 to 14, rigid boxes 10 to 18. Each product page states its own.
