A jar label is a roll or sheet-fed label sized to a specific jar, either a front panel that leaves the product visible on the rest of the jar or a full wraparound that covers the whole cylinder. When to choose it, and when not to

Choose a jar label for a jam, sauce, skincare, or bulk food brand jarring product where the label needs to fit a specific jar diameter, front panel if you want the product visible or a full wraparound for complete branding coverage.

Choose a shrink sleeve instead if your jar has a pronounced shoulder, taper, or embossed texture a flat label can't conform to cleanly.

Questions people ask

Can we leave part of the jar visible to show the product?

Yes, a front panel label is common for exactly that. We size it to leave the sides and back of the jar clear so the product shows through.

How do you handle jars with a shoulder or taper near the lid?

A moderate taper is usually fine for a flat label, but a pronounced shoulder or heavy taper can cause wrinkling. Tell us your jar's shape and we'll advise whether a flat label or a shrink sleeve fits better.

What's a realistic minimum for a small-batch jarred product?

200 units is our minimum, a common starting quantity for a small-batch jam, sauce, or skincare line testing the market.

Can you add gloss lamination for a jar that gets handled with wet or oily hands?

Yes, a gloss overlay adds wipeability and some resistance to oils and moisture. It's common for cooking sauces and body care jars.

Do you print required ingredient or nutrition panels?

Yes, send us your required panel text and we'll lay it out alongside your brand design in a legible layout. We can't advise on what the panel has to say; that wording comes from you and your regulator.

Is there a way to test the label on our actual jar before a full run?

Yes. Every order includes a free digital proof, and you can ask for a printed proof with your quote to apply to a sample jar before the full run.

How is a jar label different from a honey label?

The jar label is the general version: matte art paper with a permanent adhesive, as a front panel that leaves the product visible or a full wraparound, matte as standard with gloss lamination on request. The honey label is the same stock with gloss lamination as standard, because sticky products drip on the label. Both start at 200 units in 5 to 7 business days after proof. If the jar gets sticky or wet in use, go gloss.
