Honey label

Matte art paper with gloss lamination200 minimum · 5 to 7 business days

A honey label is a roll or sheet-fed label built with a gloss lamination overlay so it wipes clean and resists the sticky drips a honey jar picks up during normal handling, rather than absorbing spills and going soft the way a plain paper label would. We produce them from 200 units, ready in about 5 to 7 business days after proof.

When to choose it, and when not to

Choose a gloss-laminated honey label for a jarred honey or syrup brand sold at farmers markets or retail, where the jar gets handled with sticky hands and the label needs to stay legible and adhered through that.

Choose a plain matte label instead if your honey ships shrink-wrapped or in an outer box where the label itself won't take direct sticky contact. The gloss upgrade isn't necessary if the label is protected from spills.

Questions people ask

Will the gloss finish actually keep honey drips from ruining the label?

The laminate surface resists sticking and wipes clean of typical honey drips. For a jar that gets heavy repeated handling, we'd still suggest a quick wipe-down as routine care.

Can you fit a round label to different jar lid sizes?

Yes, send us your jar lid's exact diameter and we'll size the label to fit cleanly without overhang.

Do you offer a rustic or kraft-look finish for a farmers market brand?

Our matte art paper stock can be printed to look like kraft or natural paper even though the base stock itself is a coated white paper. Tell us the look you're going for and we can show you options.

What's a reasonable minimum for a small honey operation just starting out?

200 units is our minimum and a common starting quantity for a small producer. We usually suggest starting here and reordering as you scale.

Can you print variety names like wildflower or clover on a shared label template?

Yes, if you're running several honey varieties with similar branding, we can set up a template where just the variety name and color accent change between print runs.

Is the adhesive food-safe for direct contact if it touches the honey during filling?

The adhesive is food-safe for standard label use on the exterior of a sealed jar. If your filling process risks direct product contact with the adhesive side, let us know and we can discuss the right approach.

How is a honey label different from a jar label?

The honey label comes with gloss lamination as standard so it wipes clean of sticky drips, round for a lid or as a wraparound for the jar, with foil accents available. The jar label is matte as standard with gloss lamination as an option, for any jarred product, front panel or full wrap. Both are matte art paper from 200 units in 5 to 7 business days after proof. Honey, syrup and jam suit the honey label's finish.
