An aluminum foil layer inside the laminate, usually about 0.3 mil, bonded between PET on the outside and PE on the inside. Foil has an oxygen and odor transmission rate close to zero. Metallized film, which is PET with a vapor-deposited coating, blocks light and most oxygen but lets a measurable amount of odor through over days. We use true foil on this bag and can send the film spec.

Yes, fully. The foil layer is opaque, so no UV reaches the product even on a white printed bag. That is why coffee roasters and flower producers both use it: light degrades oils and terpenes faster than oxygen does in the first few weeks.

The smell proof mylar bag uses a true foil laminate that stops odor, comes with a standard zipper or an optional certified CR zipper, and has no window. If you sell flower where child resistance is required and the smell has to stay in, order the smell proof bag with the CR zipper. Both start at 200 units in 10 to 14 business days after proof.
