A custom mylar bag is a printed barrier pouch made from a multi-layer film that provides high oxygen, moisture and light protection. The mylar layer gives the bag structural strength; the foil or metallized barrier layer protects the contents. Tria produces them in three types: smell proof on a true PET/AL/PE foil laminate, child resistant with a certified CR zipper, and die-cut in any custom silhouette.

Choose by barrier, compliance and shape. The smell proof bag uses a true aluminum foil laminate that stops odor completely; it runs with a standard press zipper or an optional certified CR zipper, and starts at 200 units. The child resistant bag uses a metallized barrier laminate and comes standard with a certified CR zipper tested to 16 CFR 1700; it can take a window where your state allows it, and starts at 200 units. The die-cut bag gives you a fully custom silhouette and starts at 1,000 units with a one-time tooling charge. If you need both smell proof and child resistant, order the smell proof bag with the optional CR zipper.

Yes. The child resistant mylar bag comes standard with a certified CR zipper tested to 16 CFR 1700.20, and test documentation is available on request. The smell proof mylar bag can also be ordered with the same certified CR zipper as an upgrade. The die-cut mylar bag uses a heat-sealed resealable zip track and does not have a CR zipper option. No. Only the bag built on a true foil laminate, PET/AL/PE with an aluminum layer, is genuinely smell proof, with very low oxygen transmission. The child resistant mylar bag and die-cut mylar bag use a metallized film, which blocks light and most oxygen but lets a measurable amount of odor through over days. They are odor resistant, not smell proof.

Standard sizes match the regulated cannabis and hemp market: 3.5 by 5 inches for 3.5 grams, 4 by 6.5 inches for 7 grams, 5 by 8.5 inches for 14 grams, 6 by 9 inches for 28 grams and 8 by 12 inches for one pound. Custom sizes from 3 by 4 to 12 by 18 inches are available on the smell proof and child resistant bags. The die-cut bag runs in 3 by 5, 5 by 8 or a custom dimension to your die line.
