Two box sizes cover most lines
A square box around 3.5 by 3.5 by 1.5 inches holds rings, earrings and pendants; a long box around 7 by 3.5 by 1.25 holds bracelets and necklaces laid flat. Ordering the same wrap and insert color in both keeps the line consistent and keeps each run at the minimum. Our jewelry box sizing guide has the details.
The insert matters more than the box
Velvet flocking protects polished metal and stops small pieces sliding. Ring slots, earring cushions and necklace channels are cut to the piece, so send the dimensions of each item with your brief. Flocked inserts are for jewelry, not food.
Ship it inside something
A jewelry box is a presentation piece. For mail orders, put it inside a padded or rigid mailer, or an E-flute mailer with an insert, so the wrap arrives unmarked. Dark linen with a champagne foil mark is the most reliable premium combination; soft-touch shows handling marks on dark colors.
Labeling notes
Claims printed on jewelry packaging, such as karat, plating or stone descriptions, fall under the FTC Guides for the Jewelry, Precious Metals, and Pewter Industries (16 CFR part 23), which apply to labeling and all forms of marketing. Keep those claims exact and matched to the piece.
This is packaging guidance, not legal advice.
