Skincare set box
1200 gsm, multi cavity insert200 minimum · 12 to 14 business daysA skincare set box is a wrapped 1200 gsm rigid box with a single die-cut insert holding three to six products, jars, tubes, droppers and pumps, each in its own cavity. We produce them from 200 units in 12 to 14 business days after proof, usually with a magnetic lid. Common sizes are 10 by 7 by 3 inches for three pieces and 12 by 9 by 3.5 for five.
When to choose it, and when not to
Choose a skincare set box when you sell a routine, not a product: cleanser, serum, moisturizer and a tool in the order they are used. The insert lays the steps out left to right, and the inside of the lid is where you print the routine. It suits gift sets, launch kits sent to press and creators, and any bundle sold at a higher tier than the products alone. Reserve a panel on the base for ingredient and volume declarations if the set is sold at retail.
Choose a skincare carton instead when each product already has its own carton and the set only needs an outer, because a folding carton sleeve does that for far less board. Choose a collapsible rigid box when the set ships in volume and storage is tight, since assembled set boxes take a pallet where flat ones take a shelf.

Questions people ask
How do you fit four different shaped products in one insert?
Send the packaging drawings from your fillers, or one of each product, and we trace each outline at its widest point. The top layer of the insert is cut to those outlines with 0.04 in of clearance; the bottom layer is cut smaller so each product sits on a ledge rather than the floor. Tall droppers and short jars end up level at the top.
Can tubes lie flat while jars stand up?
Yes, and it is the usual layout. Jars and droppers stand in round cavities, tubes lie in a long slot with the cap end raised so the front of the tube faces up. A gua sha or a roller gets a shaped cavity the same way. We draw the arrangement on the dieline so you can move things before the prototype.
Can I print the routine inside the lid?
Yes. A numbered routine inside the lid, matched to the order of the cavities, is the single most useful thing on a set box. It is printed on the same wrap before assembly, so it adds nothing to the lead time. Keep the type at 9 pt or larger; people read it in a bathroom, often without glasses.
What goes on the base panel for retail?
Ingredient lists, net contents for each product, the responsible person address and any claims text. We reserve a clear panel on the base of the dieline and mark it, and your designer fills it. This is packaging guidance, not regulatory advice; check the current rules for each market where the set is sold.
Is a paperboard insert strong enough for glass jars?
For jars up to about 100 ml, yes, on a two-layer insert. The ledge on the lower layer takes the weight and the upper layer stops the jar tipping. For heavier glass, or for sets with more than five pieces, we move to EVA foam, which holds a heavier product with less clearance and can be flocked to match the wrap.
How is the skincare set box different from the gift set box?
The skincare set box has a single die-cut insert with three to six cavities cut to each product's outline, so jars stand and tubes lie flat in fixed positions, on 1200 gsm board, from 200 units in 12 to 14 business days after proof. The gift set box has no cut insert: products sit in tissue or crinkle paper, so the contents can change without changing the box, from 200 units in 10 to 14 business days. A fixed routine set suits the skincare set box; seasonal or mixed gifting suits the gift set box.
