Collapsible rigid box

Each long side has a wrapped board panel with a magnet or a tuck that locks into the end walls when you push it upright. The wrap is scored so the board hinges without cracking, and the tension in the wrap holds the corners square. There is nothing to glue and no tape; a box folds up in about 10 seconds.

Closed, yes. The same board, the same wrap, the same concealed magnet. The difference is inside: the corners show a folded seam rather than a wrapped edge, and the inside walls are a second layer of board. If someone will study the inside corners, choose the assembled box; if they will look at the outside, nobody notices.

Keep the product under about 3 pounds. A collapsible box carries weight on its floor, which is a single wrapped panel, and the side walls stop the load from spreading rather than bearing it. For bottles, ceramics or anything heavier we design a fully glued magnetic box or a two-piece box.

A die-cut paperboard insert ships flat in the same carton and folds into the box at your bench. A foam or molded pulp insert cannot fold, so it ships in a separate carton and adds to the freight. For subscription and apparel projects, we usually suggest a paperboard tray or tissue and no insert at all.

Ten to fourteen business days after proof, which is the Signature window. The wrapping and scoring take the same time as an assembled box; what you save is the hand assembly at our end and the freight volume. Fifty flat boxes ship in a single carton, so they often arrive a day or two sooner as well.

It is a magnetic box that folds flat. The collapsible box is 1200 gsm board with pre-glued self-locking side panels, so it ships and stores flat and folds up at your bench without glue or tape, from 200 units in 10 to 14 business days after proof. The magnetic closure box arrives assembled, on 1000 to 1500 gsm board, from 200 units in 12 to 14 business days. The assembled box has stiffer corners and carries more weight. The collapsible box saves storage and freight on volume orders.
