When to choose it, and when not to
Choose full color when the box is part of the brand: patterns, photographs, color blocks, a message inside the lid. Subscription boxes, launches and anything that will be filmed being opened.
Choose one color on kraft if the budget is tight or the look is deliberately plain. Choose a folding carton if the box is for a shelf and not for shipping.

Digital or offset, and does it matter?
Digital prints direct from file with no plates and suits 200 to about 500 units. Offset uses plates and gives slightly richer solids on long runs. We choose by quantity and you approve a proof either way.
Can the print go right to the edge?
Yes. Edge to edge means the artwork bleeds past the cut, so there is no white border. Set your file with a bleed and we check it on the dieline.
Can I print inside and outside?
Yes, and it is the reason to choose full color. The inside print is done on the same sheet before it is corrugated, so nothing changes in lead time.
What finish should I choose?
Matte aqueous for most work: it protects, does not glare and hides scuffs. Gloss for photographs. Soft-touch for beauty and premium sets that ship inside an outer.
Will the colors match my brand?
Closely. We print to a calibrated profile and can match Pantone references within the CMYK gamut. Send the reference and we show it on the proof.
How is the full color printed mailer box different from the inside printed mailer box?
The full color mailer is printed CMYK edge to edge on the outside, with inside print as an option. The inside printed mailer box is built for the inside: a white inner liner printed full bleed on the lid, floor and all four walls, with an insert that can be printed to match. Both are E-flute from 200 units in 10 to 14 business days after proof. If the outside is the billboard, the full color mailer is enough. If the opening is the moment you are paying for, go with the inside printed mailer.
