Laminated euro tote
Art paper, rope handle200 minimum · 10 to 14 business daysA laminated euro tote is the stiff, square-cornered retail bag with rope or ribbon handles and a turned top edge, built on 157 to 210 gsm art paper over a laminate. We produce them from 200 units in 10 to 14 business days after proof, matte or gloss, with foil and deboss options. The common sizes are 8 by 4 by 10 or 10 by 5 by 13 inches.
When to choose it, and when not to
Choose a euro tote when the bag is part of the purchase, not just the way home. Fragrance counters, jewelers, bridal shops and premium candle brands use it because it stands upright on its own, holds a rigid gift box square, and looks the same after a bus ride as it did on the counter. The turned top edge and rope handles are what people mean when they say a bag feels expensive.
Choose a kraft paper shopping bag when the bag is a carrier and nothing more, because a laminate and rope handle add material and hand labor you do not need for a market stall. Choose a ribbon handle gift bag when the bag itself is the wrap and the product is small, since a tote is built to carry a box.

Questions people ask
What paper weight do euro totes use?
157 gsm art paper is the standard for bags up to about 10 inches wide, and it feels stiff once laminated. 190 gsm is our default for anything wider or for bags that will carry a rigid box. 210 gsm is for the large 16 inch garment bags where you want zero flex on the walls.
Rope or ribbon handles?
Cotton rope is the classic and the strongest, and it comes in about 20 stock colors. Grosgrain or satin ribbon is softer in the hand and photographs well on smaller bags under 8 inches. Both are knotted through metal eyelets by hand. Ribbon costs the same but is not as good for loads over 5 pounds.
Can I do a matte bag with a gloss logo?
Yes. Matte lamination over the whole bag with spot UV on the logo gives a wet mark on a flat ground, and it reads clearly from across a shop. Foil on matte does the same with more contrast. Either adds one pass at the press and no extra lead time at 200 units.
Does it come with a bottom board?
Every tote ships with a 1200 gsm grayboard base cut to the footprint. Glued in by default so the bag stands square from the moment it is unfolded. We can leave it loose if you want to pack the bags tighter, which saves about 30 percent of carton space on a large run.
How do these ship to me?
Flat, with the handles tied and tucked, in bundles of 20 inside a corrugated carton. A 10 by 5 by 13 tote takes about two seconds to open and square up, so a launch-day stack is quick work for one person.
How is the laminated euro tote different from the ribbon handle gift bag?
The euro tote is the stiff, square retail bag: 157 to 210 gsm art paper laminated, a turned top edge, a 1200 gsm bottom board and rope or ribbon handles, so it stands upright and carries a rigid gift box. The ribbon handle gift bag is a smaller matte art paper bag where a wide satin or grosgrain ribbon is threaded through the top as both the closure and the handle, so nothing shows until it is untied. The tote runs 10 to 14 business days after proof and the ribbon bag 12 to 14 business days, both from 200 units. Counter purchases suit the tote; small handed-over gifts suit the ribbon bag.
