Wine bag
Kraft or art paper200 minimum · 10 to 14 business daysA wine bag is a tall, narrow paper carrier sized around a 750 ml bottle, with a reinforced base and handles set close together so the bottle cannot swing. We produce them in 120 gsm kraft or 157 gsm laminated art paper from 200 units in 10 to 14 business days after proof. The standard single is 3.5 by 3.5 by 13 inches.
When to choose it, and when not to
Choose a wine bag for a winery, a bottle shop, a distillery tasting room or a corporate gift where a bottle is handed over and carried home. The narrow footprint is the point. A bottle in a wide shopping bag swings and knocks against the walls; in a bag cut to 3.5 inches it stays upright. The two and three bottle versions with a divider are the usual choice for holiday gifting.
Choose a spirits presentation box when the bottle is the gift and needs to sit on a table looking finished, since a bag is a carrier, not a display piece. Choose a wine and spirits carrier in E-flute when bottles are shipping by carrier, because a paper bag gives no protection in transit.

Materials that suit it
Questions people ask
Will a 750 ml bottle fit the standard size?
Yes. The 3.5 by 3.5 by 13 inch single is cut around a standard Bordeaux or Burgundy bottle with about a quarter inch of clearance on each side and the neck sitting an inch below the top edge. Champagne and some Burgundy shapes are wider at the shoulder; for those use the 5 inch bag.
How much weight will the handles take?
A full 750 ml bottle weighs about 2.75 pounds. Twisted paper handles on 120 gsm kraft carry that with a wide margin, and the three bottle bag at just over 8 pounds is still inside what the handle patch will hold. We do not recommend the two or three bottle sizes on lighter paper.
Can you add a divider for two bottles?
Yes. A paperboard divider slots into the base of the two and three bottle bags and stops the bottles clinking. It ships flat inside the bag and drops in when you square the bag up. On kraft bags it is plain; on laminated bags we can print it to match.
Kraft or laminated?
Kraft with one color flexo is the tasting room workhorse, cheaper per bag and fine for daily use. Laminated art paper with foil is what you want for a corporate gift or a holiday release, because it takes foil cleanly and does not mark. Both use the same base board and handle set.
Is there any labeling I need to think about?
The bag itself carries no regulated text, but if the bag is sold with the bottle in some states the retailer's rules on visible alcohol content can apply. This is packaging guidance, not legal advice. We leave the lower third of one face clear on the proof so you have room for any required text.
How is the wine bag different from the wine gift box?
The wine bag is a tall, narrow paper carrier in 120 gsm kraft or 157 gsm laminated art paper, with a reinforced base and handles set close so the bottle cannot swing, in one, two and three bottle versions, from 200 units in 10 to 14 business days after proof. The wine gift box is a wrapped 1200 gsm rigid box with a fitted cradle for one bottle, from 200 units in 10 to 14 business days. Bottles carried home from a shop suit the bag; corporate gifts that are kept suit the box.
