Wine and spirits carrier
E-flute with divider200 minimum · 10 to 14 business daysA wine and spirits carrier is an E-flute corrugated box with a die-cut handle in the top and a corrugated divider inside, built to carry bottles out of a shop or a tasting room. We produce them from 200 units, in 10 to 14 business days after proof, for 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6 bottles. The 2-bottle carrier for 750 ml bottles is the most common.
When to choose it, and when not to
Choose a carrier when the bottle leaves with the customer rather than by carrier: a tasting room, a distillery shop, a wine club pickup, a corporate gift handed over at an event. The handle takes the weight of two 750 ml bottles, about 6 pounds, and the divider keeps glass from touching glass on the walk to the car. This is packaging guidance, not legal advice; leave panel space for any warning or age text your state requires.
Choose a bottle shipper box when the bottles go through a parcel carrier, because a handle carrier has no cushioning for a 4 foot drop. Choose a spirits presentation box for a single bottle that is a gift in itself, where a wrapped rigid box with a fitted insert says more than a carrier with a handle.

Questions people ask
How much weight will the handle take?
A two-bottle E-flute carrier with a locked bottom carries about 6 pounds, which is two full 750 ml bottles. For four or six bottles we move to a double-thickness handle panel or B-flute, and we suggest the auto-lock bottom rather than a tuck, since the tuck is the first thing to give.
Will the bottles clink?
Not with the divider in. Each cell is sized to the bottle diameter plus a quarter inch, so the bottles stand apart. A standard 750 ml wine bottle is about 3 inches across; a squat spirits bottle can be 3.5 or more. Tell us the bottle or send one and we size the cells to it.
Can it ship by carrier?
Not on its own. The carrier is built to be carried, not dropped. If a customer wants it shipped, put the carrier inside a bottle shipper with molded pulp or corrugated cushioning around it. The carrier then becomes the gift presentation when the outer box is opened.
Kraft or white board?
Kraft with one color reads as a winery or a distillery and hides scuffs. White with full color digital lets you print a label image or a photograph of the vineyard. Both are the same E-flute board and the same fold. Wineries tend to go kraft; spirits brands with a strong color tend to go white.
Is there room for required warning text?
Yes. The back panel of a two-bottle carrier is about 7 by 13 inches, which is plenty for any state or federal text you are required to show. Requirements differ by state and by product, so check with your compliance advisor; we will keep a clear panel on the dieline for it.
How is the wine and spirits carrier different from the beverage carrier box?
The wine and spirits carrier is E-flute corrugated with a die-cut E-flute cell divider and a handle, sized from a single bottle to six, from a 50 ml miniature up to a 1.75 liter bottle, from 200 units in 10 to 14 business days after proof. The beverage carrier box is food-grade SBS paperboard for 4 and 6 packs of 12 oz cans or bottles, printed full color offset on all panels as a retail multipack, from 500 units in 8 to 10 business days. Wine and spirits bottles need the corrugated carrier; cans and beer bottles on a shelf suit the paperboard carrier.
