A sticker and label sheet is a set of die-cut adhesive labels on paper or vinyl stock, used to seal tissue, close a bag, label a jar or brand a plain box. We produce them, printed full color, from 200 units in 10 to 12 business days after proof, on sheets or rolls, matte or gloss, with a waterproof vinyl option. The most common sizes are 1.5 and 2 inch rounds.

When to choose it, and when not to

Choose stickers and labels when you need to brand something you did not print, or seal something you did. A round logo sticker on folded tissue, a label on a candle jar or a jam lid, a clear label on a plain kraft bag, a waterproof label on a bottle. It is the cheapest way to make a plain box or a stock bag yours, and the cheapest way to add a flavor, a batch or a date to a printed one without reprinting.

Choose a hang tag when the piece must swing free of the product rather than stick to it, because adhesive marks some fabrics and finishes. Choose a belly band when a whole box face needs to change, since a label covers a small area and a band covers a strip.

Questions people ask

Paper or vinyl?

Paper for anything dry: tissue seals, box labels, cards, kraft bags. Vinyl for anything that meets water, oil or a fridge: candle jars, bottles, jam lids, soap. Vinyl costs a little more and takes a laminate that keeps the ink from scratching. Clear vinyl on glass gives a printed-on look.

Sheets or rolls?

Sheets for runs under about 500 or for a mix of designs on one sheet, which is the cheapest way to get five flavors at 50 each. Rolls of 250 for a hand dispenser or a labeler, once you are applying more than a few hundred a week. Rolls are wound with a 3 inch core as standard.

Will the sticker come off cleanly?

Permanent adhesive will not, and that is what you want on a jar or a box. Removable adhesive peels off glass, card and most laminates without a mark for about 6 months, which suits a sale label or a tissue seal. Say which on the order and we put it on the proof.

Can I get a waterproof label?

Yes. White or clear vinyl with a gloss or matte laminate is waterproof and oil resistant, and it survives a dishwasher on the outside of a jar. The print is digital full color under the laminate. For a bottle that lives in a shower, ask for the matte laminate, which hides water spots.

What is a kiss cut?

The die cuts through the sticker but not the backing sheet, so each sticker peels off and the sheet stays whole. It is the standard for sheets. A through cut, where each sticker is a separate piece with its own backing, is available for larger labels over 4 inches or for singles in a card.

How is a sticker and label sheet different from a product label?

The sticker sheet is a packing-bench item: kiss-cut stickers on paper, kraft, or white or clear vinyl, on sheets or rolls of 250, with permanent or removable adhesive, used to seal tissue, close a bag or brand a plain box. Product labels are roll-fed matte art paper labels die cut to shape and wound for a hand applicator or an automated line, the label that carries your product information on every unit. Sticker sheets start at 200 units in 10 to 12 business days after proof; product labels at 200 units in 5 to 7 business days. Branding touches go on sheets; product labeling goes on rolls.

Sticker and label sheet, sticker sheet or die-cut sticker: which do I need?

Pick by the job. The sticker and label sheet is the working label: one shape repeated on sheets or rolls, on paper or waterproof vinyl, for sealing tissue, closing a bag or labeling a jar; it runs 10 to 12 business days after proof. The sticker sheet puts several different kiss-cut shapes on one page for your customer to peel off, as a bonus insert or a piece of merch; 5 to 7 business days. The die-cut sticker is a single sticker cut to the outline of your artwork on laminated paper, for swag, laptops and water bottles; 5 to 7 business days. All three start at 200 units.
