When to choose it, and when not to

Choose a donut box for a bakery or donut shop selling by the half dozen or dozen for pickup or delivery, where a food-grade window box built for a single layer matters for both freshness and how the product photographs.

Choose a smaller individual pastry box or a bag instead for single-item or grab-and-go sales, since a full dozen-format donut box is sized specifically for a multi-item single-layer fit and doesn't suit a one-off sale.

Questions people ask

Does a dozen donuts actually fit in a single layer without crowding?

Yes, the 10 x 10 inch box is sized with enough clearance for a standard dozen glazed or cake donuts in one layer without them touching the lid. For larger filled or specialty donuts, let us know and we'll size accordingly.

Should I get a window, or is a solid lid better for keeping them fresh?

A window is popular for donut boxes since the product is the selling point. A solid lid holds in a touch more freshness if the box sits for a while before pickup, but we usually suggest the window for the visual.

Is the interior coating good for glazed or frosted donuts sticking to the box?

The food-grade interior coating reduces sticking better than plain uncoated board. Very sticky glazes may still leave some residue on contact, which is normal for any donut box.

Can I get a half dozen and a dozen size in the same order?

Yes, each size runs as its own job with its own 300-unit minimum. Ordering both sizes together in one combined order is fine.

Do you print required nutrition or allergen information?

We print whatever text you provide on the panel you specify. Confirming the correct required wording for your product and state is on your side.

What's a realistic lead time if I need these for a grand opening?

8 to 10 business days after proof approval is standard. If you have a hard date, tell us up front and we'll flag whether it's realistic or whether we need to adjust your order timing.

How is the donut box different from the bakery box with window?

The donut box is a wide, shallow carton for a half dozen or dozen donuts in a single layer, on food-grade SBS with a greaseproof interior, a tuck top with locking side tabs and an optional window, from 300 units in 8 to 10 business days after proof. The bakery box with window is a general pastry box with lock corners and a window as standard, from 200 units in 10 to 12 business days. A donut shop selling by the dozen needs the donut box.
