Sample sachet
Three side seal200 minimum · 10 to 12 business daysA sample sachet is a small three side seal packet, sealed on the fourth edge after filling, that holds one dose of a powder, cream, liquid or a single piece of product. We produce them, printed digitally, from 200 units in 10 to 12 business days after proof, on food-contact or cosmetic-grade barrier laminate. The 2 by 3 inch and 3 by 4 inch sizes cover most trial packs.
When to choose it, and when not to
Choose a sample sachet for anything you give away or slip into an order to sell the next one: a single serve of protein or coffee, a 3 ml skincare trial, a hair mask, a spice blend, a seed packet. It costs less film than any other pouch and fits inside a mailer, a carton or an envelope. A sachet with a tear notch and a clear back that shows the product is the format people tend to keep rather than throw away.
Choose a three side seal pouch when you need a zipper or a size over 5 by 7 inches. Choose a lip balm carton or a small tuck end carton when the sample is a solid item that should sit on a counter rather than lie flat in a bag.

Questions people ask
Can I fill sachets with liquid?
Yes, with the right film and seal. Creams, serums and oils run on a foil or metallized laminate with a 5/16 in seal, and you fill and seal on an impulse or band sealer. Thin water-based liquids need a heat seal test first, which we do on request with your product. We ship the sachets open on one edge for you to fill.
How much does a 3 by 4 inch sachet hold?
About 10 ml of a cream or 10 grams of a powder with room for a clean seal. A 2 by 3 inch sachet holds 1 to 3 ml, which suits a serum or a fragrance oil. For coffee, a single serve of 12 grams of ground fits a 3.5 by 5 inch sachet. We test fill any size with your product.
Are the films safe for skincare as well as food?
Yes. The laminates are food-contact grade, which covers cosmetic contact. The PE sealant on the inside is inert and does not leach into oils or emulsions in normal shelf life. We send the film specification with your proof for your own stability records.
Can I print a different design on each side?
Yes, front and back print together with no extra lead time. A common layout is a printed front and a clear back so the product shows, or a printed back with directions and an ingredient list at 5 to 6 point type.
Do you fill the sachets?
No. They are printed, formed and shipped open on one edge, in cartons of 500. Filling is done at your bench or by your co-packer with a hand sealer. If you need filled sachets, tell us and we can suggest the seal settings for your filler.
How is a sample sachet different from a three side seal pouch?
The sachet is a single dose: a small packet, usually under 2 by 3 inches, heat sealed on all four edges after filling, with a tear notch or serrated edge and no zipper, for a trial in a mailer or a counter giveaway. The three side seal pouch is the larger flat retail bag with an optional zipper and hang hole. Both start at 200 units in 10 to 12 business days after proof, in PET/PE, metallized or foil laminate. One-use trial packs suit the sachet.
