Food tray
Grease-resistant SBS, open tray format1,000 minimum · 8 to 10 business daysA food tray is an open paperboard tray, no lid, built for a bakery counter, deli, or grab-and-go setup that needs a quick, low-cost way to serve or display a food item without full enclosure. We produce them from 1000 units, ready in about 8 to 10 business days after proof.
When to choose it, and when not to
Choose a food tray for a bakery, deli, or grab-and-go counter that needs a quick, open-format container for serving or handing off food, where full enclosure isn't the point and speed at the counter matters.
Choose a lidded box or clamshell instead if your food needs to travel further, hold heat or cold longer, or stay covered for delivery, since an open tray offers no enclosure and isn't built for extended transport.

Materials that suit it
Questions people ask
What portion sizes do small, regular, and large actually hold?
Small suits a single pastry or side item, regular is our standard sandwich or combo serving, and large is built for a shareable or catering-size portion. Tell us your typical serving and we'll confirm the right fit.
Is the interior actually grease resistant for oily or saucy food?
Yes, the coated interior is rated for typical deli and bakery grease and moisture. It holds up through normal serving and handling without soaking through to the printed exterior.
Can I get a scalloped edge instead of a plain rectangular tray?
Yes, a scalloped or fluted edge is available as a style option if you want a more traditional bakery look instead of a plain straight edge.
Do these work for hot food, or just room-temperature items?
They handle typical hot deli and bakery items fine for normal serving and short hold times. They aren't insulated, so for extended hot holds a different container designed for heat retention would serve better.
Can I print a different design for different food categories using the same shape?
Yes, the same tray shape works across different food categories. Each distinct print design runs as its own job with its own 1000-unit minimum.
Is 1000 units realistic for a single counter location?
It's a common minimum to reach for a busy single location over a normal ordering cycle. If your volume is lower, we're happy to talk through timing so the order lasts a reasonable stretch.
How is the food tray different from the French fry box?
The tray is flat and open, rectangular or with a scalloped edge, for serving or displaying a mixed plate, a pastry or a deli item at the counter. The French fry box is a scoop that stands fries and fried sides upright so they stay crisper than they would lying flat. Same grease-resistant coated SBS, same flat-ship pop-up assembly, and the same 1,000 units minimum in 8 to 10 business days after proof. If the food would sit on a plate, use the tray.
