Popcorn box
Grease-resistant SBS, fold-out top500 minimum · 8 to 10 business daysA popcorn box is the classic fold-out carton with flared, opened-out top edges, built on grease-resistant board for concessions, movie nights, and event popcorn stations. We produce them from 500 units, ready in about 8 to 10 business days after proof.
When to choose it, and when not to
Choose a popcorn box for a movie theater, event concession, or popcorn brand doing single-serve or sharing portions, where the classic fold-out shape and grease-resistant interior are exactly what the format is built for.
Choose a stand-up pouch or a resealable bag instead for a packaged, shelf-stable popcorn product sold in retail, since the fold-out box format is meant for fresh-popped, immediate-consumption servings, not for a product that needs to stay sealed on a shelf.

Materials that suit it
Questions people ask
What portion sizes do the 32, 64, and 85 oz boxes actually hold?
32 oz suits a single individual serving, 64 oz is a solid medium or shared-light portion, and 85 oz is our largest, meant for a genuinely shareable serving or a family-size portion at an event.
Is the interior actually grease and butter resistant?
Yes, the coated interior is rated for buttered popcorn and typical concession oils. It holds up through normal serving and eating time without the grease soaking through to the printed exterior.
Can I print a different design on each size, or do they need to match?
Each size can carry its own design, and they don't need to match. Keeping one consistent design across sizes does give a recognizable look at the counter.
Do these ship flat or pre-formed?
They ship flat and pop open into the classic flared shape by hand. It's a quick one-motion fold, not a multi-step assembly.
Is 500 units really the minimum, and why is it higher than your other food boxes?
Yes, 500 is our minimum for this format. It reflects the die-cutting and coating process for the fold-out shape, which runs more efficiently at that volume than a smaller run.
Can I get a smaller custom size for a kids' portion?
Yes, a smaller custom size below our 32 oz standard is available for a kids' or sample portion. Tell us your target volume and we'll confirm the right dimensions.
How is a popcorn box different from a popcorn bag?
The popcorn box is the fold-out carton with flared top edges on grease-resistant SBS, printed full color offset, in standard, medium and large sizes, and it stands on a tray, from 500 units in 8 to 10 business days after proof. The popcorn bag is grease-resistant kraft or white paper, flat or flat-bottom, printed one or two color flexo, from 1,000 units in 8 to 10 business days. Bags store flatter; boxes give more print and a sturdier hold.
