Cosmetic pouch

Matte barrier laminate, zipper closure200 minimum · 10 to 12 business days

A cosmetic pouch is a flexible pouch built on a matte barrier laminate film with a zipper closure across the top, sized to hold makeup, travel-size skincare, or a small beauty gift set rather than being sealed shut like a single-use sachet. The zipper means it's meant to be opened and closed repeatedly, which is the whole point when the pouch itself is part of what the customer keeps. We produce them from 200 units, ready in about 10 to 12 business days after proof.

When to choose it, and when not to

Choose a cosmetic pouch when the packaging itself is meant to be reused: a beauty subscription box, a gift-with-purchase, or a travel line where the customer keeps using the pouch long after the product inside is gone. The zipper is what makes that possible.

Choose a folding carton or a rigid box instead if the pouch is only meant to be opened once. A zipper closure costs more than it needs to for packaging that gets torn open and thrown out the same day it arrives.

Questions people ask

How many times can the zipper realistically be opened and closed?

A sewn-in zipper on this film is built for regular daily use, well past a single travel trip. It's the same class of closure used on reusable food pouches.

Can the pouch stand up on its own, or does it lie flat?

A gusseted base version stands upright and holds more volume. The flat version is slimmer and works well for a single travel-size item, and we can quote either.

Is the film safe for makeup that might leak a little, like a cracked compact?

The barrier laminate resists moisture and light contact well. For a product that's genuinely prone to leaking, we'd recommend also discussing an interior liner or compartment.

Can we get a clear window so the customer sees what's inside before opening?

Yes, a clear film window is a common addition. Tell us the size and placement you want and we'll design it into the dieline.

What's the minimum for a pouch used as a subscription box insert rather than a standalone retail item?

The same 200-unit minimum applies either way, subscription and retail versions of this pouch use the same tooling.

How does pricing shift between the flat and gusseted base versions?

The gusseted base adds a manufacturing step, so it costs a bit more per unit. We can quote both side by side so you can compare directly for your volume.
