Presentation folder

18pt SBS paperboard, spot UV finish, business card slits200 minimum · 10 to 12 business days

A presentation folder is a two-pocket paperboard folder built to hold loose documents, proposals, or a media kit in a form you can hand across a table rather than staple or clip together. We produce it on 18pt SBS board with a spot UV hit on the logo, cut slits for a business card on the inside right pocket, and score the spine so it closes flat without cracking. We produce them from 200 units, ready in about 10 to 12 business days after proof.

When to choose it, and when not to

Choose a presentation folder for a proposal, press kit, investor packet, or any loose set of documents that needs to look considered when it's handed over. The two-pocket build keeps everything together without a staple or binder clip.

Choose a simple printed insert card or belly band instead if you're only including one or two sheets. A full folder build costs more in board and tooling than the job needs when there's nothing loose enough to require pockets.

Questions people ask

Can the spot UV cover the whole front, not just the logo?

Yes, full-coverage spot UV is available. We usually suggest keeping it to the logo and a border accent, because the contrast against the matte board is the whole point, but a full gloss front is an option.

Will the folder close flat with a thick document set inside?

The spine score is built to handle a reasonable stack. For something unusually thick, we'd recommend testing with your actual document count before a full run.

Can you add a die-cut window for a business card to show through?

Yes, that's a common upgrade to the standard slit pockets. Tell us the card size and we'll place the window to fit.

Do you offer a folder with a flap and closure, not just open pockets?

An open two-pocket build is our standard. A closing flap or elastic band adds tooling cost, so ask us if that's a requirement for your use case.

What's the lightest board weight you'd recommend for this?

18pt SBS is the floor for something that needs to hold its shape once documents are inside, going lighter risks the folder feeling floppy.

How much does a smaller run cost compared to a larger print job?

Board folder tooling has a real fixed cost, so per-unit price drops meaningfully past a few hundred units. We can quote a couple of volume tiers side by side.

How is a presentation folder different from the literature mailer box?

The folder is handed across a table: 18pt SBS with two interior pockets for letter-size documents, business card slits and spot UV on the logo, printed inside and out, from 200 units in 10 to 12 business days after proof. The literature mailer box is a slim E-flute box that ships a stack of paper flat through the mail, from 200 units in 10 to 12 business days. Proposals and media kits delivered in person suit the folder; anything mailed suits the box, and a folder inside the box covers both.
