Sock packaging is a printed band or header card that wraps or clips onto a folded pair of socks, giving an otherwise plain product a branded, hang-sell or shelf-ready presentation without the cost of a full box. We produce them on 14pt C1S board from 500 units, ready in about 6 to 8 business days after proof.

When to choose it, and when not to

Choose sock packaging when you're selling individually folded pairs and want retail-ready branding and a hang hole without the cost of a full box, common for a sock brand selling on pegboard displays or online with visible packaging.

Choose a folding carton instead if you're packaging a multi-pair gift set or a premium sock line where a fuller box presentation matters more than a low-cost band, since a wraparound band is built for a single visible pair, not a stacked multi-item set.

Questions people ask

Which format should I pick, band, header, or clip?

A wraparound band keeps the socks visible through the fold and works well for a simple branded look. A fold-over header adds more surface for copy and a barcode, and a clip-style tag skips wrapping the sock entirely and just attaches at one point. Tell us your priority and we'll recommend.

Does the sizing work for different sock lengths, ankle versus crew?

The standard sizes flex across most fold styles. If your sock line runs a notably longer crew or knee-high length, tell us the folded dimensions and we'll size accordingly.

Can I print a barcode and size information on the packaging?

Yes, a barcode, size, and any required retail information print the same as any other artwork element on the card.

Is the hang hole sized for standard pegboard hooks?

Yes, the die-cut hole is sized to a standard pegboard or slatwall hook. If your retail fixtures use a different hook size, let us know.

Can different sock colors or patterns share one packaging design?

A single design with variable color or pattern showing through the visible portion can work well for a sock line, but each distinct print design still runs as its own job with its own 500-unit minimum.

Do you supply the socks too, or just the packaging?

We produce the packaging only, socks are typically sourced through your existing manufacturer or supplier.

How is sock packaging different from a belly band?

Sock packaging is built for retail socks: 14pt C1S as a wraparound band, fold-over header or clip tag, sized to a folded pair, with a die-cut hang hole for a peg hook, from 500 units in 6 to 8 business days after proof. A belly band is a heavier art paper or 18pt SBS strip that wraps a box, card stack or pouch, closes with glue, a tab or tape and takes foil and deboss, from 200 units in 10 to 14 business days. Socks on a peg suit sock packaging; boxed products suit the belly band.
