Blister card
18pt C1S board, blister-ready surface1,000 minimum · 8 to 10 business daysA blister card is the printed paperboard backer that a clear plastic blister heat-seals or clips onto, the format used across hardware, small electronics, and impulse retail goods hung on a pegboard. We produce them on 18pt C1S board from 1000 units, ready in about 8 to 10 business days after proof.
When to choose it, and when not to
Choose a blister card when your product ships in a clear heat-sealed or clipped plastic blister and you need a printed, pegboard-ready backer sized to that exact blister shape.
Choose a standard folding carton or a bag topper instead if your product isn't in a plastic blister at all, since the blister-seal coating on this card is built specifically to bond with blister film and isn't needed for other packaging formats.

Questions people ask
Do I need to send you the blister mold, or just the dimensions?
Dimensions and a sample of your blister film are usually enough for us to confirm the card will seal properly. Sending the actual blister or mold, if you have one available, helps us dial in the fit exactly.
Does the coating actually matter, or would any board work?
Yes, the coating matters. A standard uncoated board won't bond reliably with heat-seal blister film; the C1S coating is specifically what makes the seal hold.
Can I get a half-card or clip-style instead of a full card?
Yes, both formats are available. A half-card uses less board and works when the blister covers most of the product, while a clip-style skips the seal entirely and uses a folded tab instead. Tell us which your product needs.
Is the hang hole sized for standard pegboard hooks?
Yes, the die-cut hole is sized to a standard pegboard or slatwall hook. If your retail fixtures use a different hook size, let us know.
Do you supply the blister film too, or just the card?
We produce the printed card. The plastic blister film and sealing is typically handled by your existing blister supplier or packaging line, and we're glad to coordinate specs with them directly if useful.
Can different product SKUs share one card design with different text?
Each distinct print design runs as its own job with its own 1000-unit minimum. A shared base design with variable text per SKU is possible, so ask us about that setup.
How is a blister card different from a hanging tab carton?
A blister card is a flat 18pt C1S backer coated to bond with heat-seal blister film, so the product sits in clear plastic on the front of the card, from 1,000 units in 8 to 10 business days after proof. A hanging tab carton is a closed paperboard box with a doubled peg tab, so the product is boxed and printed on all panels, from 200 units in 10 to 12 business days. Both hang on a peg. If shoppers need to see the product itself, the blister card.
