Cake pop box

18pt SBS, punched stand-up insert300 minimum · 8 to 10 business days

A cake pop box is a small folding carton with a punched paperboard insert that holds cake pops upright by the stick, keeping the coated tops from touching each other or the box interior. We produce them on 18pt SBS from 300 units, ready in about 8 to 10 business days after proof.

When to choose it, and when not to

Choose a cake pop box for a bakery or dessert brand selling cake pops for pickup, delivery, or a gift order, where keeping the coated tops separated and upright matters for both appearance and preventing them from sticking together.

Choose a standard pastry box instead if you're selling a mixed dessert assortment rather than cake pops specifically, since the punched insert grid here is sized and spaced for cake pop sticks and won't suit other shapes.

Questions people ask

Does the insert grid fit standard cake pop stick sizes?

Yes, the punched holes are sized for standard paper cake pop sticks. If you're using an unusually thick or thin stick, let us know and we can adjust the hole size.

Can I get a count other than 4, 6, or 12?

Those are our standard grid layouts. A custom count is possible, but it may mean a small custom tooling cost for a non-standard insert layout, so ask us if you need something specific.

Will the coated tops touch the lid if it's a window box?

The insert holds the sticks at a fixed height calculated to keep coated tops clear of the lid, including a window lid, as long as your cake pops are within a typical size range. Tell us your pop dimensions and we'll confirm clearance.

Is the insert reusable, or does it come with each box?

A fresh punched insert comes with every box. It's a one-time-use component sized to that specific box.

Can the box travel well for shipping, or is it pickup-only?

It holds up for local delivery and careful handling. For longer shipping with cake pops, we'd suggest confirming your coating is fully set and considering some additional padding, since the box itself doesn't include shock cushioning.

Do you offer a matching gift bag or handle option for these?

Not built into the cake pop box itself. A gable box with a fold-up handle is a good complement if you want a hand-carried option, so ask us about pairing the two.

How is the cake pop box different from the cupcake box with insert?

The cake pop box holds sticks: a punched paperboard insert keeps 4, 6 or 12 cake pops upright so the coated tops do not touch, on 18pt SBS with an optional window, from 300 units in 8 to 10 business days after proof. The cupcake box with insert has a platform with holes sized to cupcake liners, from 200 units in 10 to 12 business days. Sticks need the cake pop insert; liners need the cupcake insert.
