Cream jar box
18pt SBS, tuck-top with interior collar500 minimum · 10 to 12 business daysA cream jar box is a folding carton sized tight around a single cosmetic cream jar, usually with an interior collar or locking tabs that hold the jar upright so it doesn't shift or rattle in shipping. We run them on 18pt SBS from 500 units, ready in about 10 to 12 business days after proof.
When to choose it, and when not to
Choose a cream jar box for a skincare brand selling a single cream, balm, or moisturizer jar at retail or online, where the jar needs to sit securely without rattling and the box carries the brand's shelf presence.
Choose a multi-cavity tray or kit box instead if you're bundling several jars or a jar alongside other products together. A single-jar box isn't the right format once you're packaging more than one item per sale.

Questions people ask
How do you keep the jar from rattling around inside the box?
We use a die-cut interior collar or locking tabs sized to your jar's exact diameter and height. Send us those measurements and we'll design the interior fit around them.
Can we get a window to show the cream color or texture?
Yes, a die-cut window over the jar lid or side is a common add. Tell us where you'd like it positioned.
Is a tuck-top or slide-out sleeve better for a premium skincare line?
A slide-out sleeve tends to feel more premium on unboxing. A tuck-top costs less per unit and is more common for a mid-tier line. We can quote both if you're deciding.
Can you match foil stamping or embossing to our brand's finish?
Yes, foil comes in a set range of metallic and color options and embossing can be added to a logo or pattern. Send us your brand specs and we'll confirm what's achievable.
Does the box protect the jar from a moderate drop in shipping?
The snug interior fit and 18pt board offer reasonable protection against normal handling. If your jar is glass and shipping direct to consumer, we'd recommend also considering a corrugated outer mailer for the added drop protection.
What's a realistic minimum for testing a new cream SKU?
500 units is our minimum and a common starting quantity for a new product launch. We usually suggest starting here and scaling up on a reorder.
How is a cream jar box different from a lip gloss box?
The cream jar box is built around a wide, short jar: 18pt SBS with a die-cut collar or locking tabs that hold the jar upright so it cannot rattle, as a tuck-top or slide-out sleeve. The lip gloss box is a narrow carton fitted tight around a single tube or wand. Both start at 500 units in 10 to 12 business days after proof. Creams, balms and masks go in the jar box; glosses and serums in a tube go in the gloss box.
