When to choose it, and when not to
Choose a zip-lock bag when your customer or warehouse needs to open and reclose the bag more than once, for a retail multi-use product, a food item eaten over several sittings, or small parts sorted and re-accessed over time.
Choose a heat-seal-only bag instead if the bag only ever gets opened once, since a permanent seal costs less per unit than a zip track and the reclose feature would go unused.

Is 2.5 mil thick enough for small hardware or parts?
For typical small parts and light retail goods, yes. For heavier or sharper-edged items that could puncture the film, we can quote a thicker gauge.
Can I get a food-safe version for snacks or bulk items?
Yes, a food-contact safe grade of the same film is available. Let us know it's for food so we quote the correct grade.
Does the zip track hold up after repeated opening and closing?
It's rated for regular reuse over normal product life. A zip track that's forced open at an angle repeatedly will wear faster than one opened straight across, which is true of any zip closure.
Can the bag be fully opaque instead of clear?
Yes, a printed white or solid-color backing behind the artwork is available if you don't want the contents visible.
What's the difference between this and a mylar stand-up pouch?
This is a flat poly bag: lower cost, with no barrier against light or moisture beyond basic poly. A mylar stand-up pouch adds a high-barrier layer and stands upright, so it's better suited to products sensitive to light, oxygen, or moisture.
Can I order a few different sizes in one combined order?
Each size is its own die and print setup, so each size needs to hit the 1000-unit minimum on its own. Multiple sizes can ship together once each hits minimum.
